Summer Program

Harvest for Humanity created the summer volunteer program to give the children of Foyer d’Espoir new experiences, practice their English, learn life skills and develop their talents. This program is a great opportunity for individuals and families to share their interests and knowledge while volunteering internationally.

Volunteer to join us in Haiti this coming June, July and August. All groups and/or individuals are responsible for planning, preparing, and leading activities for the children during their selected trip dates. Every volunteer will be provided curriculum and materials for English lessons. There will be sports equipment on-site, board games and craft supplies available but we encourage our volunteers to bring games and equipment they are familiar with to introduce new activities.

OPEN DATES: June 27 – August 4, August 12-31

DURATION: Your choice, past volunteers have typically stayed 1-2 weeks

COST:  Volunteers are expected to pay travel expenses to/from Haiti. For a small fee all in-country accommodations and transportation are provided by Harvest for Humanity.

REQUIREMENTS: You must be at least 18 years of age before arriving in Haiti, unless you will be traveling with a group/team and guardian. No experience is required but you must be committed and able to work independently with little to no supervision.
